A New York studio building consumer apps.
LY Group LLC is a limited liability company registered in the State of New York. We design, build and publish consumer applications for Apple platforms — and we operate them ourselves rather than handing them to anyone else.
Independent by design
The company is bootstrapped. There are no outside investors and no board, which means the roadmap is set by the people doing the work and by what we learn from the people using the apps. It is a deliberately small operation: one team carrying a product from first sketch through release and everything after it.
That structure is the point rather than a stage we are trying to grow out of. Nobody has to win permission for a change that obviously ought to happen, and there is no quarter in which a number matters more than the product does.
We start from a real problem
Every product begins with a difficulty someone close to us ran into repeatedly — the kind of friction people stop noticing because they have learned to work around it. We build a working version early, put it in front of real users, and let genuine usage decide what deserves refinement and what should be removed.
What we do not do is chase trends. An app earns its place by being the thing someone opens on an ordinary Tuesday, not by being briefly interesting.
iOS first, natively
We build for Apple platforms, in Swift and SwiftUI, against a deliberately lean backend. That is a constraint we chose: a narrower target means fewer abstraction layers, faster builds, and applications that behave the way people expect an iPhone app to behave. Nothing we ship should need explaining.
One team, four disciplines
Design, engineering, growth and data all sit under one roof. Nothing is handed between agencies or contractors, so there is no gap between the person who noticed a problem and the person who can fix it. Work that begins on a Monday can reach users the same week.

What we publish
Rythma is live on iOS — a perimenopause tracker that lets someone log symptoms in seconds and see patterns emerge across cycles. Fold, in development, turns bank transactions into plain-English weekly briefs. Quill, also in development, is note-taking for people who think out loud.
Each app that collects any user information carries its own privacy policy, published on its App Store listing and available inside the app.
